The Process

1. Getting to know You - Once signed up with 1st Query for your Search Marketing services, an SEO Technician will send you your customer profile questionnaire via email, and will follow up with you to go over that profile within 24-48 hours. During your conversation the 1st Query Technician will then discuss the criteria of your market. Whether your focus is local or global; whether you are in a market that is saturated with competitors or if you have tapped into a market that is fairly new; if you have a specific audience in mind; our SEO Technicians have a background in marketing giving them an edge when choosing the right keywords and key phrases to optimize your website.



2. The Keyword Analysis- Once you and your Technician have determined the area of focus, the demographics of your audience, and an understanding of your industry; your 1st Query Technician will then create a Keyword Analysis. A diagnostic calculation of keywords and keyword phrases based on actual searches placed on all major search engines are then calculated against your competition.



3. Optimization Outline - Your Technician will then focus on a few of the choice keywords that are most related to your website, diagnostics, and competition along with words that have a high search rate and less competition using techniques such as the correct combination of meta tags (for meta crawler search engines), the correct spider friendly content, efficient links (for higher page ranking), and various other techniques specific to your websites needs.



4. Your Approval - Your Keyword Analysis and your new Optimization Outline is then sent to your email address within 3-5 business days for your approval before any work to your website is done. Once you have approved and/or have gone over your optimization with your 1st Query Technician, the code, along with instructions, is sent to your webmaster for uploading. If you have ftp access to your website, your 1st QueryTechnician is able to do the work without having to pay your webmaster to do it for you.



5. Your First Report - After the changes have been made to your website a baseline report will be ran to see how your website measures up with your new keywords and key phrases. From there you will see a report at the beginning of each month so you can watch as your position on the search engines continue to improve. It generally takes 30-90 days to see any results on search engines.
   
   
6. Continued Support - 3 months from your initial optimization you will receive your 4th report, and a phone call (or email) from your 1st Query Technician to go over your report, talk about the keywords or key phrases that are doing well (or those that need improvement) and will then talk about where you would like to go from there. Some find that the site does not need any more work and is doing just fine: others decide to focus on the words that are getting rankings, or even change focus to different words. That's where 1st Query's personal service comes in.
